Upon invitation from Zayed University in the United Arab Emirates, Arabictypography.com conducted a series of workshops and lectures on Arabic graphic design between 5 and 10 March 2011. The event was exclusively open for design students at Zayed University both in the Abu Dhabi and Dubai campuses. The lectures presented by Tarek Atrissi on both campuses focused on essential theoretical principles of Arabic graphic design. The experimental workshop in Dubai focused on typographic packaging design, while the two days workshop in the Abu Dhabi campus consisted of an intensive Arabic lettering course.
