The 7th Typography day in Munich. “Typotag Extended”, took place on 13, 15 and 15 October. The design conference focused on three themes: Social Media, Cross media and Virtual Media. Speakers included Patrick Gruban, Herbert Lechner, Tarek Atrissi, Sven Ellingen, Ralph Ammer and LUST (Thomas Castro & Dmitri Nieuwenhuizen)

The event was accompanied by the touring exhibition of the winning entries of the Type Director’s Club competition.

Within the second’s day theme of “Cross Media”, Tarek Atrissi gave a talk on Arabic Typography in the context of screen design while Sven Ellingen from Eden-Spiekerman offices gave a talk on typography and mobile devices (with a focus on the iPad and iPhone).
